The Never Ending Day Of Wonderful

Friday was the day that went on forever. It was day 7 which is my day off. Day 7 also means Say So. Young Life does this powerful thing where on the last day of camp if you have decided to follow Jesus you get a chance to stand up with your leader and say so. Psalm 107:2 says "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." After spending a week interacting with these campers on a daily basis it is always amazing to see who stands up. It never fail to get tears in my eyes. After Say So we decided we needed a little adventure. I pulled out my phone and checked my Roadtrippers app (download it if you haven't). I found a place that was only an hour away called South Yuba River State Park. The description said it had the longest covered bridge in existence and emerald waters. We were sold. We pilled in Riggens (Laurens truck) and headed down the windy road that doesn't make me car sick anymore (thank goodness). An hour later we were parking the truck and ready to find the water. I asked a park ranger where we should go and he told us about a path that is secluded from other people. When we got to the site he was talking about we all were stunned by the beauty. The water was crystal clear and absolutely stunning. Lauren was jumping up and down with excitement. We spend the day swimming and laughing. Then we used my Yelp app to stop and get some food. I don't think you understand how exciting it is to get food. We have the same meals every week. It feels like a breath of fresh air to eat something different. We then got some froyo and felt like real life friends.

California is breathtaking and I'm glad I have friends who are willing to go adventure with me.
